I just picked up a second hand Force 15HP outboard to use several weeks each Summer on a fresh water lake.<br /><br /> I have many questions, first is can someone tell me what year the motor is?? I looked at the part on searsparts online and the primer bulb is avaible but is like $24.00 and it appears to have the same hole as mine.May 18, 2009. #3. Re: 15 hp gamefisher lower unit. It turned out to be a shift linkage problem. The linkage connection bolt wasn't tight so when I would shift in forward it would slip. Same with reverse, and that's why It would either freeze in forward, or neutral and wouldn't shift out of it. I adjusted it, and tightened it, and it works fine now.

It may fit a 7.5 or 9.9 motor but I am not 100% certain. This motor blew a head gasket and I could not get the head bolts off without them breaking so I am parting the motor out.

I still have a Gamefisher/Tanaka 3HP and it's a good little motor. I'm guessing that Tanaka made the entire line for Gamefisher, but my 3HP is for sure a Tanaka.

It is ok for water to come out immediately.If you have no water coming out that means there is no cooling taking place.You can take out the stat and check it by putting it in a glass of cold water for a few minutes and then put it in a glass of warm water and see if it opens at all.It should.Charlie.
